The Royal Oak Advantage
Royal Oak School is a nurturing and supportive environment that strives to provide a differentiated learning experience for every child so they may reach their full potential.
Our school is located in Old Town Niagara On The Lake in the 10,000 square foot, historic hospital building. Low teacher to student ratios, currently 1:5, means that each child can be given the support, time, and tools to reach their potential. The school has iPads or laptops for every 2 children, a restroom, and two dedicated learning spaces in each class. Students enjoy 70,000 square feet of green outdoor space to play, run and connect with community and nature. Royal Oak School offers an exceptional educational experience, at an approachable price for families.

Education During COVID-19
Synchronous Learning
Each Royal Oak classroom is equipped with a 50" TV, allowing the teacher and class to actively engage with students learning from home. An in-class camera, a carefully designed learning environment and lessons posted online each day allow students in the class to collaborate with those at home in real-time.
Children learning from home are a part of their peers' in-person learning experience through this programming, and by opting into outdoor and physically distanced recess, outdoor Ed., and Phys. Ed classes. No matter what your family's preference for learning this year, Royal Oak has a myriad of options to keep children engaged and progressing both academically and socio-emotionally.
In-person Learning
The 2020/2021 school year is underway and we want to share with you how we have prepared to ensure students continue to receive a quality education in a healthy and safe environment.
Masks are worn by every child in the school as well as staff while indoors. Class sizes are limited to 15 students, and classes are physically distanced from one another in our 10,000 square foot building, offering students ample room to socially distance while learning. 70,000 sqft of outdoor space is utilized as often as possible and wifi has been extended to allow for students to work outside.
